Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar

1• Arrival in Haridwar: Begin your yatra by reaching Haridwar, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites. Haridwar is considered the gateway to the Char Dham. 2• Evening Aarti at Har Ki Pauri: Attend the famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. The sight of thousands of lamps floating on the river is a magical start to your spiritual journey. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
1• Drive to Barkot: After breakfast, leave for Barkot, passing through the beautiful hill stations of Mussoorie and Dehradun. You’ll drive along winding mountain roads, crossing lush green valleys and rivers. 2• Visit Kempty Falls (optional): If time permits, stop at the scenic Kempty Falls near Mussoorie for a short break. Overnight stay in Barkot.
1• Early Morning Departure to Yamunotri: Drive to Jankichatti (36 km), the base point for the trek to Yamunotri. From here, begin the 6 km trek either on foot or by hiring ponies/palkis. 2• Visit Yamunotri Temple: The Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, is the first of the Char Dhams. Take a dip in the Surya Kund hot spring before offering prayers. 3• Return to Barkot: Trek back to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay in Barkot.
1• Drive to Uttarkashi: After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi, another holy town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. 2• Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple: En route, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples in North India. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
1• Early Morning Drive to Gangotri: Drive to Gangotri, the source of the holy Ganga River. The journey takes you through beautiful valleys, forests, and villages. 2• Visit Gangotri Temple: The Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, is situated at 3,042 meters. Before visiting the temple, take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River at the Gangotri Ghat. 3• Return to Uttarkashi: After the darshan, drive back to Uttarkashi for the night. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
1• Drive to Guptkashi: Today is a long drive to Guptkashi, a town famous for its temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The drive takes you through picturesque views of the Mandakini River. 2• Visit Ardh Narishwar Temple (optional): If time permits, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
1• Drive to Gaurikund: After an early breakfast, drive to Gaurikund, the base point for the trek to Kedarnath. 2• Trek to Kedarnath: The 19 km trek to Kedarnath can be done on foot or by hiring ponies/palkis/helicopter (depending on availability). The trek takes you through scenic mountains and rivers. 3• Visit Kedarnath Temple: After reaching Kedarnath, visit the Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Offer prayers and attend the evening Aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
1• Early Morning Darshan: Wake up early for the morning Abhishekam at the Kedarnath Temple. 2• Trek Down to Gaurikund: After darshan, begin the trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
1• Drive to Badrinath: After breakfast, begin your journey to Badrinath, the last of the Char Dham. The drive takes you through beautiful mountains and the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. 2• Visit Badrinath Temple: After arriving in Badrinath, visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund hot springs before entering the temple for darshan. Overnight stay in Badrinath.
1• Morning Visit to Mana Village: Visit Mana, the last village before the Tibet border, and explore places like Vyas Gufa and Bhim Pul. 2• Drive to Rudraprayag: After visiting Mana, drive down to Rudraprayag, a confluence town where the Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers meet. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
1• Drive to Haridwar: Complete the Char Dham Yatra by driving back to Haridwar via Rishikesh. You can stop at Rishikesh for a short visit to the Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
• Departure: After breakfast, you can proceed to your onward journey, either by train or road.
